{DIY :: Bed frame}

When I saw this on pinterest, I knew I wanted to copy the idea of the bed frame for our guest bedroom.  My husband used to do carpentry, so I knew it would be a piece of cake for him.

Items needed: wood, foam, fabric, and staple gun.

The challenging part was making sure the fabric was pulled tight and straight.

Almost finished...

I love how it turned out!  And the final touches: my painted canvases and pillow pull all the details together.

Now, the next item on the house-to-do list, an upholstered headboard.

  1. He did such a fantastic job on your bed frame! I like the fabric you used as well. Only, you didn’t mention installing crossarms for support. Ideally, there should be at least three crossarms to support the weight of the mattress and of the person on bed.
